PURGATORY (I) - DAMIAN GLAZEWSKI

The "Purgatory" collection by Damian Glazewski (27, Poland) is a collection inspired by nun's cornettes and the purgatory.

I was inspired by the forms of cornettes changing over the years. There is a huge number of them, each with an original cut. I have changed cornettes into geometrical forms which are distinguished in the collection.
Purgatory was another inspiration associated with the convent. More specifically, my subjective feelings about this place.
Dark abyss, enigma, darkness were used in the colors of the collection. The shades of black, red and gray represent a dark atmosphere, which aims to stimulate the senses of the recipient and provoke reflection. Delicate fabrics, combined with those strongly stiffened and a variety of textures symbolize softness, goodness, salvation but also torment, struggle and suffering.
The collection begins with dark colors and ends with red, which symbolizes salvation. Salvation is the culmination of my collection.
